Hayte Johannes van der Schaaf, born in Grouw on January 23, 1817, son of Johannes Haytes van der Schaaf (shipwright's man and shipwright's man) and Wypkjen Uiltjes Veenema.

Hayte was married in Idaarderadeel on May 27, 1840, at the age of 23 to his cousin
Baukje Wietzes Zandberg (aged approximately 26 years), born in Echten circa 1814, daughter of Wytse Pieters Zandberg (worker and worker) and Popkjen Uiltjes Veenema, died in Utingeradeel on September 4, 1900, aged approximately 86 years.
Baukje was married afterwards in Idaarderadeel on December 28, 1854, at the age of approximately 40 to Rinze Sikkes Koldijk (aged approximately 34 years), born in Grouw circa 1820.
