Johannes Haytes van der Schaaf, born in Grouw circa 1793, son of Haye Fokkes and Sytske Johannes (woman worker), shipwright's man and shipwright's man.

Johannes was married in Grouw on May 30, 1816, at the age of approximately 23 to
Wypkjen Uiltjes Veenema (aged 24 years), born in Wartena on September 29, 1791, christened there on February 12, 1792, daughter of Uiltje Hoytes Veenema (peat cutting supervisor) and Feikjen Wybes Feenstra.

• 1 : Hayte Johannes van der Schaaf, born in Grouw on January 23, 1817.
  Hayte was married in Idaarderadeel on May 27, 1840, at the age of 23 to his cousin Baukje Wietzes Zandberg (aged approximately 26 years), born in Echten circa 1814, daughter of Wytse Pieters Zandberg (worker and worker) and Popkjen Uiltjes Veenema, died in Utingeradeel on September 4, 1900, aged approximately 86 years.
  Baukje was married afterwards in Idaarderadeel on December 28, 1854, at the age of approximately 40 to Rinze Sikkes Koldijk (aged approximately 34 years), born in Grouw circa 1820.
  

• 2 : Feikje Johannes van der Schaaf, born in Idaarderadeel on September 16, 1819.
  Feikje was married to Gooye Gerbens Brouwer, born in Langezwaag circa 1817, son of Gerben Thomas Brouwer and Rikstje Teerdzes Holtrop.
  

• 3 : Uiltje Johannes van der Schaaf, born in Grouw on April 18, 1822.
  Uiltje was married to Minke Pieters Boonstra, born in Grouw circa 1825, daughter of Pieter Johannes Boonstra and Trijntje Jelles Kleefstra.
  

• 4 : Sytze Johannes van der Schaaf, born in Idaarderadeel on August 9, 1824.
  

• 5 : Trijntje Johannes van der Schaaf, born in Grouw on March 4, 1827.
  

• 6 : Hendrik Johannes van der Schaaf, born in Grouw on June 8, 1834.
