Edzer was married in Barradeel on December 23, 1920, at the age of 21 to
Pietje Tigchelaar (aged 24 years), born in Almenum on March 16, 1896, daughter of Gerrit Tigchelaar (worker and casual labourer) and Maatje Visser.
