Gerben entered a notice of marriage in Franeker on May 1, 1762. He was married there on May 16, 1762 in church, at the age of approximately 30 to
Tjeerdtje Reinders (aged approximately 25 years), born circa 1737.

• 1 : Haaye Gerbens, born before August 15, 1764, christened in Franeker on August 15, 1764, vleeschhouwer, died in Harlingen on August 12, 1802, buried there on November 10, 1802, aged at least 37 years.
  Haaye entered a notice of marriage in Harlingen on September 8, 1792. He was married there on September 30, 1792 in church, at the age of at least 28 to Idscke Reins Tichelaar (aged 18 years), born in Midlum on October 17, 1773, christened there on November 28, 1773, daughter of Rein Floris and Piettje Feikes, baker, died on December 1, 1850, aged 77 years.
  Idscke was married afterwards in Harlingen on August 7, 1808 in church, at the age of 34 to Gerrit Sijbrens (aged approximately 26 years), born circa 1782 (?).
