Tjaltje Tigchelaar, born in Almenum on February 5, 1889, daughter of Gerrit Tigchelaar (worker and casual labourer) and Maatje Visser.

Tjaltje was married in Barradeel on December 18, 1920, at the age of 31 to
Sjier van der Veen (aged approximately 32 years), born in Harlingen circa 1888, son of Hidde van der Veen (casual labourer) and Grietje Nieuwenhuis, cigar maker.
