Ate Visser, born in Wierum on January 9, 1879, son of Freerk Dirks Visser (worker) and Hendrikje Ates de Jong.

Ate was married in Amsterdam on October 9, 1907, at the age of 28 to
Eeke Tuinhout (aged 19 years), born in Harlingen on February 29, 1888, daughter of Jan Foppes Tuinhout and Saakje Kleinvogel.
