Aukjen was married before in Opsterland on August 29, 1812, at the age of approximately 18 to Jan Aans Mud (aged approximately 25 years), born circa 1787, son of Aan Jans Mud and Zwaantje Jans, peat barge proprietor, peat barge proprietor, peat barge proprietor and schuitvoerder, died in Menaldumadeel on September 18, 1846, aged approximately 59 years.
