  Martinus was married afterwards in Baarderadeel on July 7, 1864, at the age of 35 to Jitske Ottes Feenstra (aged 23 years), born in Eernewoude on April 10, 1841, daughter of Otte Baukes Feenstra (peat cutting supervisor, barge hand and worker) and Hinke Lykeles Haarsma, died in Wijckel on June 8, 1923, aged 82 years.
